About Cheryl

As a hands on owner of Greenwood Nursery, you might find me answering the phones, helping out in the shipping department or updating the web site. I grew up in the nursery industry working in my parents nursery, went away to college only to return home where my husband, Steve, and I started Greenwood Nursery.

Greenwood grew with our family. A typical family run business, our children grew up working in the nursery (like me!). Since our busiest time of year is spring, they always worked through their spring breaks. It wasn’t until each went away to college when they learned that spring break meant something other than one to two weeks of fun filled work. Here I am with Nick, my youngest.

Besides my blog, I, also, write the nursery’s weekly newsletter and articles, mostly gardening, for other online publications as often as I can.
